Bury vs Chesterfield - Mixed injury news for Bury
Posted Friday, September 23, 2016 by PA
Bury manager David Flitcroft has received mixed injury news ahead of the visit of Chesterfield.
Defender Nathan Cameron has been ruled out for six months after having more cartilage removed from a knee injury.
However, midfielders Neil Danns (foot) and Kelvin Etuhu (knee) have trained this week and are likely to be available.
Winger Danny Mayor is a doubt with an ankle injury sustained in the 2-1 win at Swindon last week.
Chesterfield will check on leading scorer Ched Evans after the striker missed the win against Northampton.
A heel problem kept Evans out but even if he is fit for Saturday, Kristian Dennis and Conor Wilkinson could continue their partnership up front.
Despite defender Ian Evatt requiring an injection for a hip injury this week, Blues boss Danny Wilson hopes the squad who played last weekend will all be available again.
Liam O'Neil continues to make good progress in his rehabilitation from a long-term foot injury while goalkeeper Tommy Lee is back in training after a shoulder problem, but both players remain some way off a return to first-team contention.
