Deportivo La Coruna 1 - 2 Leganes: Leganes battle back from half-time deficit to down Deportivo

Leganes bounced back from their 5-1 home defeat to Barcelona by coming from behind to claim a second away win of the season, 2-1 at Deportivo La Coruna.

Celso Borges had fired the home side in front as they bossed the first half, but it was a different story after the break as two headed goals in six minutes from Brazilians Luciano and Gabriel swung the game in Leganes' favour.

On-loan Manchester City striker Marlos Moreno brought the first save of the night from Leganes goalkeeper Jon Ander Serantes in the 11th minute.

Deportivo were dominant and took the lead after 31 minutes when Borges made the most of hesitancy in the visitors' defence to stroke the ball home.

Leganes right-back Unai Bustinza took a blow to the face and was substituted before the break, and shortly after the restart Deportivo hit the crossbar as they looked to double their advantage.

The game turned in top-flight newcomers Leganes' favour with two quick-fire goals.

Neat link-up play between Omar Ramos and Gabriel ended with an inviting cross which Luciano headed home to equalise in the 55th minute.

And they were in front shortly afterwards when Victor Diaz's cross was nodded in off the post by Gabriel.

Deportivo brought on former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel as they looked to hit back, while Leganes lost Carl Medjani with a cut to his face.

Leganes had Serantes to thank for preserving the points as he made a superb double save to deny Romanian midfielder Florin Andone.
