AS Roma 4 - 0 Crotone: Dzeko double rounds off Roma win
Posted Thursday, September 22, 2016 by PA
Edin Dzeko scored twice as Roma won 4-0 against Crotone, who continue to struggle in their first-ever season in Serie A.
Stephan El Shaarawy and Mohamed Salah scored in the first half and Edin Dzeko made sure of a comprehensive win.
Luciano Spalletti's side were looking to respond their 1-0 defeat against Fiorentina last week and took the lead after 26 minutes when Alessandro Florenzi set up El Shaarawy, before Salah calmly slotted past Crotone goalkeeper Alex Cordaz to put the hosts 2-0 in front.
Dzeko got his first of the evening as he chipped over the onrushing Cordaz before a tap-in for his fourth goal of the season, and Crotone were denied a consolation goal late on as Wojciech Szczesny saved Raffaele Palladino's penalty.
