Lille OSC 1 - 2 Toulouse: Ola Toivonen strikes twice for in-form Toulouse

Ola Toivonen scored twice as Toulouse maintained their promising start to the new Ligue 1 season with a 2-1 win in Lille.

Pascal Dupraz's side, who went into the midweek round of matches in sixth, kept pace with the early pacesetters following a goal in each half from the veteran Swedish forward.

Toivonen, who had an indifferent spell in England with Sunderland last season, put the visitors ahead on 12 minutes with a fine individual goal after running through the home defence.

Lille equalised on 34 minutes when defender Marko Basa got up to head in a free-kick.

However, Toivonen made sure of all three points with another neat finish on 78 minutes after a swift counter attack.
