BLOW: Kane could miss some vital games
The England and Tottenham striker was carried off with suspected ligament damage after scoring the only goal in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Sunderland.
He left the ground on crutches with his foot in a protective boot and has definitely been ruled out of tomorrow’s visit of Gillingham in the EFL Cup.
But it is feared the 23-year-old could miss at least four weeks and perhaps as long as two months.
The injury has come at just the wrong time for Kane.
After going goalless in the first three league games of the season, he has scored in each of his last two outings.
Spurs have upcoming league games against Middlesbrough, West Brom and Manchester City and face CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
If he was to be ruled out for two months, he would also miss trips to Bayer Leverkusen, Bournemouth and the visit of Leicester.
He could also sit out of the first north London derby of the season, which is on November 6.
