Douglas Costa a doubt to face Atletico Madrid

When Bayern Munich travel to face Atletico Madrid in the eagerly-anticipated Champions League matchup next Wednesday, the Germans will likely be missing Brazilian midfielder Douglas Costa.

Although the playmaker is yet to start a game for Die Roten in their Bundesliga campaign, he did play over an hour of their Group D opener, claiming an assist against Rostov.

Appearing off the bench on the weekend, Costa was then replaced on 83 minutes with a thigh muscle injury which the club has confirmed will keep the midfielder out for an 'indefinite' period of time.

While Bayern wait to see the extent of Douglas Costa's injury, they'll continue preparations for the clash in Madrid, which kicks off at 20:45 CET on September 28.
