Airdrieonians 1 - 1 East Fife: Airdrieonians hit back to claim a point against East Fife

It was tit for tat at the Excelsior Stadium as Airdrieonians and East Fife drew 1-1.

The Fifers led early on when Mark Lamont whipped in a dangerous cross and Kevin Smith nodded past Rohan Ferguson at the back post.

Eddie Wolecki Black's men however dug in to steady the ship in the first half, and struck back on the hour. Jonathan Page was penalised for a challenge on Andy Ryan in the box, and Iain Russell equalised from the penalty spot.

Mark Hurst had to be sharp in the East Fife goal to keep out an Adam Brown effort, but the two sides cancelled each other out after the leveller.
