Dumbarton 1 - 1 St. Mirren: Ryan Hardie heads home to rescue point for St Mirren against Dumbarton
Posted Sunday, September 18, 2016 by PA
Ryan Hardie secured a point for St Mirren in a 1-1 draw at Dumbarton.
The hosts took a 15th-minute lead when David Smith's low pass across the six-yard box was tapped in by Andy Stirling.
St Mirren almost levelled after half an hour when Tom Walsh dispossessed Daniel Harvie and found Hardie, but the striker curled his shot wide.
But Hardie did find the target four minutes before the interval when he was left unmarked to nod Walsh's cross into the top corner.
Substitute Calum Gallagher could have sealed St Mirren's first win of the season but his shot was well kept out by Alan Martin.
