Mario Gomez drew another blank in his second game for Wolfsburg as Hoffenheim frustrated Dieter Hecking's men to pick up a point from a 0-0 draw at the Rhein-Neckar Arena.
Despite the lack of goals, it was anything but a dull affair with both teams attacking and creating chances.
All it lacked was goals, with Gomez as guilty as any of missing chances, although Julian Draxler had arguably Wolfsburg's best opportunities.
Sandro Wagner went close for the hosts, who gave as good as they got but had to settle for their third straight draw of the season, with Wolfsburg maintaining their unbeaten start with a point.
