Airdrie vs East Fife - Iain Russell back for Airdrie

Airdrie will have Iain Russell back from suspension for the visit of East Fife.

Russell's return means head coach Kevin McBride has a fully fit squad to choose from as his side bid to bounce back from last week's 3-2 loss at Brechin.

McBride said: "It was really disappointing to go behind three times - to do it again and again after pulling level made it a bad day.

"We have to cut out the mistakes that are costing us goals, starting against a good East Fife side that have plenty of experience to call on."

East Fife player-boss Gary Naysmith will give Scott Robinson until the last minute to prove he has recovered from the groin injury he picked up in last week's win over Stranraer.

But Naysmith is still without Chris Duggan who faces more time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Naysmith said: "We showed last weekend that we can defend well and take our chances - that level of performance will be required every week in this league.

"Airdrie have a good spine of experienced players so we need to play well to get on top of them."
