Walsall vs Bolton Wanderers - Walsall to check on

Posted Friday, September 16, 2016 by PA

Walsall are hopeful Isaiah Osbourne, Florent Cuvelier and James O'Connor will be fit to face Bolton on Saturday.

The trio missed Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers with the Saddlers looking for their first league win since the opening day of the season.

Liam Kinsella, Maz Kouhyar and Amadou Bakayoko are all pushing to start after being dropped to the bench for the draw in Bristol.

Andreas Makris came off against Rovers with a virus but he is expected to be fit for the visit of the Sky Bet League One leaders.

Table-topping Bolton may have Zach Clough back in their ranks.

The Wanderers academy graduate has missed the club's last three league games, all of which have been draws, with a hamstring strain but has returned to training and could be back in the fold.

That would be welcome news to boss Phil Parkinson, who lost top scorer Gary Madine to a groin injury recently, while Max Clayton (knee) is another forward who is sidelined.

Darren Pratley (fractured leg), Mark Davies and Dorian Dervite (both knee) are also out.
