Accrington Stanley vs Portsmouth - McCartan is only fitness doubt

Forward Shay McCartan is Accrington's only fitness doubt for the Sky Bet League Two home clash with Portsmouth on Saturday.

McCartan sat out last weekend's 2-0 win at Notts County after he sustained a knock while on international duty with Northern Ireland Under-21s.

Otherwise, Stanley boss John Coleman looks to have a full set of players to choose from.

That includes midfielder Chris Eagles, who was an unused substitute last time out having recovered from a calf tear and on Tuesday agreed a new contract with the club running to January.

Curtis Main is unlikely to be fit for Portsmouth after being forced off in last week's 4-2 win over Wycombe with a facial injury.

Main has made good progress from a nasty cut which saw him taken off but boss Paul Cook admitted he is cautious over bringing him back so early.

Conor Chaplin could make Cook's decision an easier one as he impressed after replacing Main, including grabbing one of his side's four goals.

Cook has no new injury worries and could hand Matt Clarke a return to the starting line-up after he was on the bench against the Chairboys.
