Rotherham United vs Nottingham Forest - Dexter Blackstock hoping to be involved against his former club Forest

Rotherham new-boy Dexter Blackstock will hope to be involved against his former club Nottingham Forest.

Blackstock spent seven seasons at Forest before joining Rotherham last week, but the striker has yet to make his Millers bow as he steps up his fitness.

Skipper Lee Frecklington (calf) and Tom Adeyemi (thigh) are both ready to return for the Sky Bet Championship clash.

But striker John Taylor will be monitored after he came off at half-time in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Bristol City with a knee injury.

Forest boss Philippe Montanier must decide whether new striker Nicklas Bendtner is fit enough to play some part after he was not involved in Sunday's draw at Aston Villa.

Bendtner is short of match fitness following his lack of football since leaving Wolfsburg, but fellow forward Britt Assombalonga could feature after a hamstring problem.

Hildeberto Pereira serves a one-match ban after picking up a second yellow card following the celebrations of Henri Lansbury's late equaliser at Villa Park.

Midfielder Matty Cash is a serious doubt after leaving the action early on Sunday. But Forest are more hopeful over Thomas Lam's fitness after he replaced Cash and was also forced off by injury.
