Nice 3 - 2 Marseille: Mario Balotelli scores debut double as Nice hit back to beat Marseille
Posted Monday, September 12, 2016 by PA
Striker Mario Balotelli scored twice on his debut to inspire Nice to a 3-2 win over Marseille.
The Italy international, a deadline day free transfer from Liverpool, struck after just seven minutes with a penalty - his first league goal since September 22 last year.
He became only the second player since 2000, after Zlatan Ibrahmovic, to score from the spot in Serie A, the Premier League and Ligue 1.
Balotelli added a second 12 minutes from time after the visitors had taken the lead through Florian Thauvin and Bafetimbi Gomis before Wylan Cyprien snatched victory in the 87th minute.
