Deportivo La Coruna 0 - 1 Athletic Bilbao: Raul Garcia's cracker earns Athletic Bilbao victory over Deportivo

Athletic Bilbao got their first LaLiga points of the campaign as a Raul Garcia piledriver proved to be enough to settle a low-quality encounter away to Deportivo La Coruna.
Ernesto Valverde's men were lucky to claim a 1-0 win though after Depor incorrectly had a late equaliser ruled out for offside against Florin Andone, who was being played on by Oscar de Marcos before blasting in his shot with five minutes to go.
Depor were the first to threaten after 10 minutes when Andone's header from Carles Gil's cross looked destined for the corner until Athletic's debutant goalkeeper Kepa was able to get down to his right and push it around the post.
Mikel San Jose was unable to connect with a Benat Etxebarria free-kick at the other end and Garcia was booked in the 19th minute for bundling into Joselu, who was unable to continue.
Garcia then slipped after cleverly making space for a shot before finally stamping his mark on the game in a positive way after 40 minutes. He received possession 35 yards out and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top right-hand corner of German Lux's goal.
Kepa was called on to keep out a shot angled across him by Andone five minutes into the second period after a throw-in caught the Athletic defence napping and Garcia dragged one wide in the 57th minute.
Juanfran tried his luck from Garcia range with seven minutes left but Kepa was equal to his swerving low effort and there was controversy late on as Andone rifled in a shot but was wrongly flagged.
Substitute Marlos Moreno got his contact completely wrong when a final chance fell his way, as Athletic returned home from the Estadio Riazor with three points.
