Werder Bremen 1 - 2 Augsburg: Werder Bremen lose again as Augsburg turn up heat on coach Skripnik
Posted Monday, September 12, 2016 by PA
Augsburg piled the pressure on Werder Bremen coach Viktor Skripnik with a 2-1 win at the Weserstadion.
Serge Gnabry made his Bremen debut, but he was unable to improve the fortunes of his new club, who have lost their first two games of the season.
Bremen took the lead thanks to an Aron Johannsson penalty just before half-time.
But Augsburg hit back in the second half, with goals from Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Konstantinos Stafylidis earning them their first win of the season and leaving their out-of-sorts opponents rooted to the foot of the table.
