St Mirren vs Queen of the South - St Mirren wait on three players

St Mirren have doubts over Gary MacKenzie, Rocco Quinn and Callum Gallagher as they attempt to defeat Queen of the South and grab their first Championship win of the season.

Manager Alex Rae said: "Our opponents have a good bit of momentum behind them and have good players throughout their team. However we are looking to be a lot stronger at home this season and this game will be a test of that objective.

"We scored four times at Albion Rovers last weekend and that was positive however we were two goals down before we started playing. We cannot afford a start like that in this game."

Queen of the South are hopeful that Scott Hooper, Lyndon Dykes and Grant Anderson will shake off knocks to give Gavin Skelton a full squad to choose from at Paisley.

The Dumfries boss said: "St Mirren are a big club with a good experienced squad and they will see this game as a great one to win and kick-start their season.

"We are playing well just now and want to keep building momentum so we will go there and have a go. We know that we have to keep working hard as more is expected of us now that we have had a decent run of results."
