Luton Town vs Grimsby Town - Alan Sheehan in line for Luton start

Posted Friday, September 09, 2016 by PA

Alan Sheehan is in contention to start for Luton when they host Grimsby.

The summer signing from Bradford has yet to feature for the Hatters after he suffered a calf injury in the warm-up ahead of the opening-day clash with Plymouth.

Defender Glen Rea is available for selection after returning from international duty with the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 side.

Danny Green and Craig Mackail-Smith are edging closer to returns with both players recovering from broken legs.

Mariners boss Paul Hurst could be set for a double injury boost heading into the clash at Kenilworth Road.

Hurst is hoping Shaun Tuton will be able to start despite suffering an ankle injury during last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Notts County.

And striker Kayden Jackson is also set to return to the starting line-up after suffering an injury prior to last week's game.

Rhys Browne and Sean McAllister are both still ruled out despite returning to full training on Thursday.
