Oxford United vs Swindon - Oxford hoping to have Aaron Martin back for Swindon derby

Oxford boss Michael Appleton hopes to see his selection problems eased for Saturday's sold-out derby against Swindon at the Kassam Stadium.

Appleton is hopeful Aaron Martin could be ready to return to the U's starting line-up after missing the last two games due to personal reasons.

Meanwhile Curtis Nelson is also nearing a return to action after missing the last six games with a foot injury.

Oxford's international contingent, including Ryan Ledson, Tyler Roberts and Benji Buchel, returned from their midweek trips unscathed.

Swindon could welcome back Jonathan Obika and Raphael Branco.

Obika has not played since the opening-day victory over Coventry and Branco has yet to feature this season with both suffering groin injuries.

But both players came through unscathed from a midweek friendly with Royal Wootton Bassett and will be further assessed by the medical staff ahead of the trip up the A420.

Midfielder Yaser Kasim is a doubt after missing Iraq's clash with Saudi Arabia with an unspecified injury but Jamie Sendles-White and Jordan Stewart return from international duty.
