West Brom boss Tony Pulis could leave after international break
Tony Pulis is understood to be unhappy at West Brom

A source close to Pulis, 58, admitted it is only "50-50" that he will be in charge at West Brom come the end of the international break.

The manager's relationship with new chairman John Williams seems strained over transfer policies.

Last week Williams said Pulis had blocked some moves ahead of deadline day because of football-related matters.

But Pulis feels the takeover of the Midlands outfit by Chinese businessman Guochuan Lai has been a bigger issue.

It is far from certain that Pulis, appointed 18 months ago, will be the choice of the Lai regime.

Our source added: "There's no guarantee he will stay after the takeover becomes reality in October."
