Klopp: In Germany people laughed at Man United’s loss to MK Dons

Philosophical Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that people in Germany laugh at seeing a shock result, such as United's 4-1 defeat to MK Dons, but he also added that they don't comprehend English football clubs' hectic schedules.

Klopp has already voiced his discontent with the English football calendar on several occasions during his time at Anfield.

In December of 2015 the former Borussia Dortmund manager claimed that England's recent dismal performances at international tournaments was down to the Premier League's strenuous festive schedule before predicting that the English national team will suffer yet again, at Euro 2016.

Klopp said, as reported by The Daily Mail: "The fixtures are like they are. I knew that before I came here. All I did not know is how the cup games are. In Germany all you read is:
'Manchester United lost to Milton Keynes, ha ha ha'. You don't know there were 20 games before, 100 games to go and they were playing their eighth team. You don't get a line up. It's only, 'Look at them...'.

"And then you go to Exeter and you think, 'Whoah'. You look at the pitch and think 'That is not for football today' but then they play real football and you have to really fight. You have professional teams in league five here.

"The biggest difference between England and the others is that the competition is so hard. So, yes, you can play three games if you have teams with special ability, like Manchester City or Manchester United - two teams and let them play."

Klopp also displayed his frustration with the schedule in April of this year. The Liverpool team returned from their Friday 1-0 semi-final Europa defeat to Villarreal at 4am, and had to partake in a 12pm Sunday encounter in Swansea, just 56 hours later.

For some Premier League clubs this season the footballing calendar has increased in density, with the FA's decision to allow their entry in to the EFL Cup.
