Plymouth vs Cheltenham - Arnold Garita in contention for Plymouth debut against Cheltenham

Plymouth manager Derek Adams could hand a debut to deadline-day signing Arnold Garita in their Sky Bet League Two clash against Cheltenham.

The 21-year-old forward became the 15th player to join the Pilgrims during the summer transfer window when he signed on loan from Bristol City until January.

Gary Sawyer will be assessed for Saturday's clash after struggling with a stomach problem. Adams made seven changes for their Checkatrade Trophy victory over Newport midweek and could recall a number of players.

Karleigh Osborne (leg) is back training with the first team but still lacks match fitness while Ryan Brunt (knee) remains a long-term absentee.

Cheltenham will be without defender James Jennings after he left the club for Morecambe.

Jennings only joined the Robins during the summer and after losing his place to Jordan Cranston moved to the Shrimps on loan.

Aaron Downes is making good progress after eight months out with a knee injury but the trip to Home Park comes too soon.

Dan Holman should be ready to return up front after recovering from a foot injury.
