Welcome to 7M Weekly!

This summer transfer window finally closes on 31st, August. It proves to be a busy and frantic last day for many clubs as they seize this final chance to reinforce their squad depth. Firstly let's take a look at what happened before the deadline day.

* Arsenal completed 2 signings amongst several hours

After having been criticized on stingy behavior on the transfer market, Arsene Wenger finally gritted his teeth to bring 2 more reliable players to improve his crippling squad. On Tuesday Arsenal announced their 5th signing of the summer, Lucas Perez, with a £17m move from Deportivo La Coruna. And just hours later, they presented another one by confirming the previous rumor of Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi with a £35m switch.

* Jack Wilshere saw off Gunners on temporary term

Some one in, some one out. Although Arsenal's striker Danny Welbeck is still recovering from his injury, new signing Lucas Perez's fill-in sets Gunners' attacking front on the right track. As a result, Jack Wilshere who still could not find his fitness turned into an outcast in Wenger's line-up sequence. So on the deadline of transfer window, Wilshere joined Bournemouth on loan for a whole season in order to earn more pitch time to get back on track.

* Joe Hart joined Torino on loan

Maybe fed up with hardship given by Josep Guardiola and, more specifically, the goalkeeping competition against Willy Caballero and new signing Claudio Bravo, Joe Hart determined to leave Manchester City in loan term. The England goalkeeper joined Torino on a season-long loan. But luckily, he is still the first-choice guardian in front of England goal under Sam Allardyce's charge.

* Nasri and Bony also out of Guardiola's system

Joe Hart would never be alone in his on-loan fate. The Blue Moon continued to whittle down their men by clearing out 2 more players: Wilfried Bony has set his foot to Stoke City with a season-long loan, and Samir Nasri would make his mark on Sevilla this season.

* David Luiz, welcome back to Stamford Bridge!

Chelsea signed Fiorentina defender Marcos Alonso with a £23million clause on the final day of summer transfer. But if you thought Blue had done their signing work, you would be surprised by what they presented next. David Luiz, the former Chelsea defender who left Stamford Bridge to join Paris Saint-Germain in 2014, returned to this stadium with a £32million deal. The Brazilian outspoke he was here to lift the Premier League title once again.

* Mario Balotelli out for Nice

At last, Mario Balotelli's continuously gloomy form managed to hit the culmination of Jurgen Klopp's disappointment. The Germany coach finally determined to clear out this Liverpool forward on a free transfer. And the Italian pinned his future career on France as he joined Ligue 1 side Nice.

* Tottenham completed move with Moussa Sissoko

Tottenham have been competing against Everton for France midfielder Moussa Sissoko, and the scuffle went in their favor on the deadline of transfer window. Spurs laughed to the last with a £30m clause to bring the France international from Newcastle.

* Reigning EPL champions made record-breaking move

Leicester City broke their club transfer record once again, wrapping up Islam Slimani's deal with stunning £29.7m. Impressed by Slimani's prolific goal-scoring background, Claudio Ranieri made up his mind to bring the Algeria striker from Sporting Lisbon.

* EPL Matchday 3

Tottenham Hotspur 1 - 1 Liverpool:Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool with James Milner scoring the opening goal through a penalty kick and Danny Rose firing the equalizer in the 72nd minute. Liverpool are in a winless run following a 4-3 victory on the opening weekend. Jurgen Klopp's side has obviously been lack of consistency since last October. However, the German manager led Dortmund to Bundesliga title in the third season in charge. So let's just be patient with him.

Chelsea 3 - 0 Burnley FC:Diego Costa set up Eden Hazard and Willian to score goals in the first half before Victor Moses completed Chelsea's 3-0 victory. Fabregas couldn't earn a spot in Conte's starting lineup for this game again. In fact, the Spanish could track back to support the defense, but he is more of an attacking midfielder and will be more aggressive in front of goal. Under a coach preferring to dogged defense, he has uncertain future.

Watford FC 1 - 3 Arsenal:Arsenal tasted their first victory of the season on Matchday 3 against Watford. Santi Cazorla opened the scoring. And Alexis Sanchez extended Gunners' lead before providing an assist for Mesut Ozil's header, but Watford hit back through Pereyra.

Hull City 0 - 1 Manchester United:This was Hull City's first loss of the season, while the Red Devils continued their winning run thanks to a goal from Rashford. Ibrahimovic failed to score a goal in this game. However, what he can give United are not only goals and victory, but a boost as well, especially for youngsters like Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Manchester City 3 - 1 West Ham:Sterling's brace and a goal from Fernandinho helped Manchester City seal 3rd straight win, and M.G. Antonio scored a consolation goal for West Ham in the 58th minute. The bad news is that Aguero could face suspension for Manchester derby following a violent conduct, but he has decided to contest this charge.

* La Liga Matchday 2

Real Madrid 2 - 1 Celta de Vigo:It was all square at the break. This game only burst into life in the final 30 minutes. Madrid's returning son Morata scored the first goal, but that was cancelled out by Orellana in the 67th minute.  Finally, Kroos struck from outside the area to give Madrid a 2-1 win.

Athletic Bilbao 0 - 1 FC Barcelona:It was a competitive game as Barcelona claimed a narrow win through Rakitic's first half header. But here is an exciting news. It was Luis Enrique's 100th victory as Barca coach.

* Serie A Matchday 2

Lazio 0 - 1 Juventus:Paulo Dybala set up Sami Khedira to score the first goal of the match. The home team then pressed for a late equalizer, but Juventus held on for a narrow 1-0 victory.

Napoli 4 - 2 AC Milan:Fans were entertained by gluts of goals. And Arek Milik was definitely in the zone on his first appearance, scoring twice as Napoli defeated nine-man AC Milan 4-2.

* Swansea website announces Enner Valencia signing - a day after he joins the Toffees

7M Weekly - Transfer Window Closes

Swansea City failed to replace captain Ashley Williams' void and were outbid by Everton for West Ham striker Enner Valencia.

But whoever was editing the club website was unwilling to accept the fact that Swansea had failed to get their target.

The 'in-depth look at the Swans' latest signing' was opened by mentioning that Valencia was nicknamed Superman in South America.

And the club looked forward to his partnership with fellow Ecuadorian Jefferson Montero.

But now the article has been deleted and Valencia will never get the chance to play with his compatriot in South Wales.

Everton surely are wet blanket for Swansea during this transfer window.

* Leicester players forced to change color of new BMWs

7M Weekly - Transfer Window Closes

When Leicester's Thailand owner Vichai bought 19 identical BMW i8 to reward his title-winning squad, he missed one crucial problem.

There was inevitably going to be countless mix ups, as players all share the same car park, meaning they can't tell which one is theirs...

This has forced some of them to get their cars painted in a new color to save the confusion.

The constant mix up has led to Riyad Mahrez, Wes Morgan, Jeffrey Schlupp and Danny Simpson all getting work done to their set of wheels worth £105,000.

But after all this transformation, the other players whose cars remained the blue color are still going to have some difficulty...

Rooney told in a news conference on Tuesday: "I've had a fantastic international career so far and played a lot of games and enjoyed every minute but at some point it's going to come to an end." As the top scorer in England, Rooney has earned 115 caps so far and scored 53 goals. He will lead England against Slovakia in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

* Schweinsteiger bids farewell to Germany

7M Weekly - Transfer Window Closes

Bastian Schweinsteiger ended his international duty as Germany grabbed a solid 2-0 win over Finland on Wednesday. Although Schweinsteiger failed to put the ball into the net, he still took the center stage in this game. This Manchester United midfielder couldn't hold back his tears when he addressed the crowd: "It means so much that you're here today. It has been an honor to play for you. I think you all saw how it affected me." Schweinsteiger made his international debut in 2004 and went on to score 24 goals. He helped Germany claim the 2014 World Cup title in Brazil.
