Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes Juventus are genuine contenders to win the Champions League this season.
Ferguson retired as Red Devils manager at the end of the 2012-13 season, after 27 years in charge. And the Scotsman has experience of winning the Champions League lifted the trophy on two occasions in 1998 and 2008.
However, according to the Man United legend, Juventus can beat any one and he also hailed the Old Lady's manager Massimiliano Allegri.
"I can't remember, in the 50 years of my career, such big eliminations of Italian clubs," Ferguson said at the UEFA Coaches Forum in Nyon, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football-Italia.
"Football goes in cycles, and at the moment Barcelona and Real Madrid have something extra. I think that Juventus though, like Bayern [Munich] are a team who can beat anyone and so they could even win the Champions League.
"Allegri? He's one of Juventus' strong points. He's a great coach. Another important thing is the stadium, it's really nice and that's a rarity in Italy."
Juventus made it to the 2015 Champions League final but they were defeated by Barcelona in Berlin. While last season, the Old Lady were knocked out in the last 16 stage by Bayern Munich.
After winning five Serie A titles in a row, Allegri's men kicked-off the new season with two victories in their first two fixtures, against Fiorentina and Lazio.
Meanwhile, following the international break. Juventus face Sassuolo and then following that fixture, the Old Lady play in their first Champions League game of the season against 2016 Europa League winners Sevilla.
