Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim was ecstatic with his side's 3-1 win over Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint-Germain at Stade Louis II on Sunday.
It was the first loss of the season for Unai Emery's charges following a 1-0 win over Bastia on the opening day and a 3-0 defeat of Metz a week ago.
Monaco, meanwhile, kicked off the new season with a 2-2 draw with Guingamp and 1-0 win over Nantes, while they were also successful in overcoming Villarreal in the Champions League.
After the match, Jardim said: "The players had a huge match and we played well enough to get the win.
"It's only one victory, but it was against a great team.
"It's not the first time we've beaten Paris, so we know that it doesn't mean that things will change. Paris are a still a huge team.
"The difference in this match was intensity, liveliness and the capacity to press hard. Paris' start to the match surprised me a bit; we pressed and had early success.
"They did better in the second half, but we brought on Nabil Dirar and we held out. But the most important thing was the players' attitude.
"Despite dropping two points against Guingamp (2-2 in Week 1), August has been pretty good. I hope all my players stay. We need solutions in order to give our all in the league while doing well in the Champions League."
