US Sassuolo Calcio 2 - 1 Delfino Pescara 1936: Sassuolo sink Pescara to make it two wins in a row
Posted Monday, August 29, 2016 by PA
Goals from Gregoire Defrel and Domenico Berardi gave Sassuolo a second successive Serie A win as they beat Pescara 2-1.
French forward Defrel broke into the box on the right-hand side before cutting inside and lashing a left-footed effort past Albano Bizzarri at the near post with 38 minutes played.
Berardi smashed home a half-volley from the edge of the box to double the lead in the 67th minute after the Pescara defence only partially cleared a cross from the left.
Albanian forward Rey Manaj, on loan from Inter Milan, tapped home his first Pescara goal nine minutes from time to reduce the arrears, but the home side held on for victory.
