St. Mirren 0 - 2 Hibernian FC: Jason Cummings bags brace as Hibernian see off St Mirren
Posted Sunday, August 21, 2016 by PA
Jason Cummings continued his prolific start to the season as his first-half double ensured Hibernian boss Neil Lennon's perfect league record continued with a 2-0 win at St Mirren.
Cummings' predatory instincts were on full display as he first turned in David Gray's cross from the right to give Hibs a 22nd-minute lead.
Ten minutes later he was alert to a short Jack Baird back pass as he raced onto the ball and rounded goalkeeper Scott Gallacher to net his fifth goal of the season.
Cummings might have even had a hat-trick only for Gallacher to make a fine double save, the second to keep out summer signing Grant Holt.
