Chelsea enter €70M talks for Real Madrid outcast James

Chelsea have sensationally opened talks with Real Madrid for James Rodriguez.

Sport says the Blues have already kicked off talks with Real about a €70 million deal for the Colombian.

James was put up for sale by Real last weekend on the recommendation of coach Zinedine Zidane, though president Florentino Perez is reluctant to see him leave.

Jorge Mendes, the player's agent, has spent this week touting his client to major European clubs - and Chelsea have bitten.

The Blues are now in negotiations for James, who can leave for €70 milion - a price which Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to meet.

Chelsea officials have told Mendes they intend to sign the attacker before the summer market closes.
