Queen of the South have Mark Millar back fit to face his former club Falkirk.

Millar returns to the squad after injury along with captain Chris Higgins. However, Scott Hooper is a doubt for the Doonhamers and Dale Hilson remains absent with an ankle problem.

"We have started the season well and have confidence in the squad but the only way we will keep things that way is if we carry on working as hard as we have been," said Queens manager Gavin Skelton.

"Falkirk did really well last season to finish as runners-up and they will be looking to go one better in this campaign. Our games are generally tight and competitive and this one will be as well."

Falkirk goalkeeper Danny Rogers is an injury doubt due to a shoulder problem and Peter Grant remains out after knee surgery as the Bairns look for their first league win of the season.

Visiting boss Peter Houston said: "We did not play well at Morton in the first half last weekend where we never stuck to our passing game. We were better in the second and got an equaliser but we need to be at our best from the first minute in Dumfries as it is always tough there.

"Stephen Dobbie has given them a lift and we need to ensure that he does not get the service he thrives on."
