Man Utd officials deal Jose Mourinho warning on transfers: Portuguese boss won't be happy

Jose Mourinho is unlikely to land any more signings, according to reports

The Red Devils have made four signings under Jose Mourinho - Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba.

But according to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese boss has been told not to expect any more arrivals.

Senior officials believe their £156m spending spree has been sufficient in an overall positive window.

They believe the four additions they have made, as well as Mourinho's arrival, has made them title-challengers.

Mourinho is thought to still be keen on bringing in another defender however, with Jose Fonte at the top of his wishlist, while Monaco's Fabinho is also being considered.

The Portuguese tactician will have to push hard if he is to convince the club to spend more money, although the report suggests club chiefs may be willing to fork out if the right player becomes available at the right time.

A source told the newspaper: "You can never rule anything in or out but they are expecting Pogba to be the last new arrival in the window.

"Things can change quickly, but other than a number of players heading out on loan, don’t expect to see much more activity."

United's record signing Pogba is expected to make his second debut for the Red Devils against Southampton tonight (8pm).
