Barnsley vs Queens Park Rangers - Same again for Barnsley when QPR visit

Posted Wednesday, August 17, 2016 by PA

Barnsley head coach Paul Heckingbottom could name an unchanged starting line-up for the home game against QPR.

Heckingbottom has no new injury or suspension worries following Saturday's 2-0 home win against Derby and is unlikely to tinker with a winning formula.

Striker Sam Winnall remains sidelined with a hamstring injury that will keep him out until early September, while latest signing Sessi D'Almeida will be hoping to play a bigger role after stepping off the bench as a late substitute at the weekend.

Summer signings George Moncur and Andy Yiadom, both unused substitutes against Derby, are in contention.

QPR defender Joel Lynch is set to be sidelined for a fortnight.

The summer signing from Huddersfield went off after suffering an abdominal injury during last week's EFL Cup game against Swindon and missed Sunday's league win at Cardiff.

Midfielder Ben Gladwin is due to undergo a scan after sustaining an ankle injury against Cardiff.

Ariel Borysiuk (ankle), Jack Robinson (shin splints) and Jamie Mackie (ankle) are still in the treatment room.
