Charlton Athletic vs Shrewsbury Town - Ricky Holmes in fitness fight for Charlton
Posted Monday, August 15, 2016 by PA
Charlton forward Ricky Holmes faces a race against time to be fit for Tuesday's Sky Bet League One visit of Shrewsbury.
Holmes was forced off with a knock in the second half of the 1-1 draw with Northampton on Saturday but could recover in time for the midweek clash.
Defender Patrick Bauer has been short of match fitness so far this season but was on the bench last weekend and could feature.
Alou Diarra (foot), Ahmed Kashi (Achilles) and Harry Lennon (groin) are all out.
Shrewsbury could give Moha and George Waring their debuts after they joined from Stoke on Monday.
The pair have signed loan deals until December and go into Micky Mellon's squad for the trip to The Valley.
Striker AJ Leitch-Smith is still struggling with the hamstring injury which forced him to miss the goalless draw at Coventry on Saturday.
It means Newcastle loanee Ivan Toney could lead the line once again for Town after making his full debut at the Ricoh Arena.
