Norwich City vs Bristol City - Martin Olsson and John Ruddy to miss Norwich's clash with Bristol City

Martin Olsson and John Ruddy have been ruled out of Norwich's Sky Bet Championship clash with Bristol City at Carrow Road.

Defender Olsson was withdrawn in the first half of Saturday's goalless draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday with a hamstring injury.

Goalkeeper Ruddy was replaced by Michael McGovern at half-time having picked up a groin problem, with the Northern Ireland international now in line for his first start for the Canaries.

Midfielders Alex Pritchard (side strain), Jacob Murphy (hamstring) and Graham Dorrans (groin) missed out against the Owls and will again be unavailable.

Lee Johnson's side travel to Norwich having won their opening two league matches of the new campaign - although a number of "bumps and bruises" are reported among the squad.

First-team coach John Pemberton confirmed on Monday that goalkeeper Frank Fielding is back in training having been out of action since April due to an ankle injury.

Former Norwich midfielder Korey Smith has also returned to training but the game will come too early for the 25-year-old, who has been sidelined after surgery on his own ankle problem.

On-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is likely to once again lead the line for The Robins, having scored four goals in his first three appearances for the club.
