Peterhead 0 - 3 East Fife: Peterhead pain goes on as East Fife inflict home defeat

Posted Sunday, August 14, 2016 by PA

Peterhead's miserable start to the season continued with a 3-0 defeat at home to East Fife.

Jason Kerr headed in for the Fifers inside five minutes, connecting nicely with Mark Lamont's corner.

Though the Blue Toon steadied things in the first half, they conceded a second on the stroke of the break. Again it was a devilish Lamont corner that did the damage, Kevin Smith this time heading home.

Man-of-the-match Lamont deserved a goal, and completed affairs when he whipped in a free-kick midway through the second period.

The Balmoor club have conceded 12 and scored none in three successive defeats since last weekend.
