Albion Rovers FC 0 - 2 Brechin City: Brechin ease to Albion win

Posted Sunday, August 14, 2016 by PA

Brechin made it two wins from two with a comfortable 2-0 win at Albion.

In a cagey first half, it was the visitors who made the headway when Alan Trouten beat Ross Stewart from the penalty spot in the 29th minute. Chris O'Neil had been felled by Kyle Turnbull, right on the edge of the box.

Andrew Jackson nullified Darren Young's team-talk with a swift second after the interval. Alistair Love made the final pass of a beautiful series to make life simple for the striker from six yards.

Albion's best moment came when Ryan Wallace launched an overhead kick at goal, but Brechin goalkeeper Graeme Smith saved well with the aid of his post.
