Morecambe vs Blackpool - Aaron Wildig could miss out for Morecambe

Midfielder Aaron Wildig is Morecambe's main doubt for the Sky Bet League Two clash at home to Blackpool.

Wildig missed the Shrimps' EFL Cup victory at Rotherham on Tuesday due to an ankle injury sustained last Saturday at Grimsby.

Striker Rhys Turner (ankle) missed the cup tie and defender Dean Winnard (knee) is yet to make his debut since joining over the summer, but both could feature this weekend.

Captain Peter Murphy also has a knee problem that will keep him sidelined until October.

An injury crisis in attack has overshadowed Blackpool's preparations for the trip, with Jamille Matt forced off during their cup win over Bolton.

Having been withdrawn in the 2-0 opening-day victory over Exeter, Kyle Vassell and Bright Osayi-Samuel could be in contention, despite the former sitting out on Tuesday due to a hip problem.

The Seasiders could also be without Danny Philliskirk, who came off early last weekend with an ankle injury, while Jack Redshaw remains sidelined.
