Chesterfield vs Swindon - Spireites wait on Ian Evatt ahead of Swindon clash

Chesterfield will check on Ian Evatt ahead of their first home game of the season against Swindon.

Evatt needed stitches in a head wound sustained during the EFL Cup loss at Rochdale and a late decision will be made on whether or not he starts. Charlie Raglan will return in central defence should Evatt miss out.

Midfielder Dan Gardner was absent in midweek after starting the opening league fixture at Oxford and he will hope to be back in the Spireites' squad.

Goalkeeper Tommy Lee (shoulder), midfielder Angel Martinez (knee) and full-back Dan Jones remain sidelined.

Swindon striker Jordan Stewart will be pushing for a start after impressing in the midweek EFL Cup first-round defeat to QPR.

Stewart came off the bench to score his first goal for the club and will give Luke Williams a selection dilemma in attack, but Jonathan Obika is again likely to be missing with a groin problem.

On-loan midfielder Michael Doughty should come straight back into the side after being cup-tied against QPR, but defender Raphael Rossi Branco is again ruled out by a groin injury.

Defender Lloyd Jones hobbled off just before extra-time on Wednesday with pain in the back of his knee and will be assessed ahead of the trip north.
