Swansea City have broken their transfer record after completing the signing of Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston on a four-year contract.
The 23-year-old joins the Swans for a club-record fee of £15m just days after Andre Ayew was sold to Premier League rivals West Ham United for £20.5m.
Borja becomes the Welsh outfit's fifth signing of the off-season, following deals for Fernando Llorente, Leroy Fer, Mike van der Hoorn and Mark Birighitti.
"There is pressure, but it is good pressure," Borja told the club's official website, via a translator. "I want to repay the transfer fee paid for me with good performances and results.
"It's difficult to set a target of goals, but my mantra is take it goal by goal. Hopefully I can score a lot of goals.
"It is the most important decision of my career. I want to settle and spend several years here.
"I am very happy to be here. I am eager to contribute to the success of the team."
The Spaniard made just one appearance for Atletico's first team, spending much of his time out on loan. He turned out for Murcia, Huesca, Deportivo, Zaragoza and Eibar while on the books of the Rojiblancos.
Meanwhile, Swans head coach Francesco Guidolin has welcomed the new arrival, adding: "I was happy with the squad before but I am more happy now because, with Fernando Llorente and Borja Baston, I think we have signed two good players, two very important players."
