Brighton vs Nottingham Forest - Dale Stephens back to boost Brighton

Dale Stephens could make his first appearance of the season for Brighton when they host Nottingham Forest.

The midfielder was suspended for the opening-day draw at Derby and then rested a knock as the Seagulls beat Colchester in the EFL Cup.

Boss Chris Hughton made 11 changes for the midweek match so the likes of David Stockdale, Lewis Dunk, Baram Kayal, Anthony Knockaert and Glenn Murray are set to return.

Defenders Connor Goldson (knee) and Uwe Hunemeier (groin) remain sidelined.

Hildeberto Pereira will be fit for Forest after coming off injured against Burton last weekend.

Britt Assombalonga marked his first start for 18 months with two goals in the opening-day win over the Brewers. The Reds will have to take care of the striker on his return from a serious knee injury but boss Philippe Montanier has confirmed he will be involved again at the Amex Stadium.

Montanier made nine changes for the cup victory at Doncaster so several alterations are expected on his side's return to league action, with Henri Lansbury and Ben Osborn likely to be among those restored to the starting line-up.

Dorus de Vries was injured against Burton and is out for a couple of weeks so Stephen Henderson will continue in goal, while defender Danny Fox completes his suspension carried over from last season.
