The Belgium international shot to the top of the 47-year-old’s wish list after the Blues wrapped up deals worth more than £60m for Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante.

And the former Juventus manager has allegedly seen a £65m bid knocked back by Lukaku’s club Everton.

The Toffees are holding firm on the 23-year-old’s £75m price tag in the hope it will prevent Roman Abramovich from bankrolling another mega-money Blues signing.

But Conte is apparently ready to make a players-plus-cash proposal to entice Ronald Koeman into letting his star man go.

According to The Sun, Chelsea striker Loic Remy and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will be offered as makeweights in an attempt to push a deal over the line.

Koeman is said to be keen on Remy, though it is Begovic who may pave the way to a deal being agreed.

The Dutchman is on the lookout for a new first-choice goalkeeper following Tim Howard’s Goodison Park exit at the end of last season, despite already having signed up Maarten Stekelenburg from Fulham.

And the Bosnia and Herzegovina stopper previously impressed during a five-year with Stoke, so would offer valuable Premier League experience to Koeman’s side.
