Queens Park Rangers vs Leeds United - Trio set to make QPR debuts against Leeds

Posted Friday, August 05, 2016 by PA

QPR are likely to hand debuts to Joel Lynch, Jake Bidwell and Jordan Cousins when they host Leeds.

Centre-half Lynch joined Rangers from Huddersfield, left-back Bidwell arrived from west London rivals Brentford and midfielder Cousins was signed from Charlton.

But a fourth summer signing, Polish midfielder Ariel Borysiuk, misses out with an ankle injury sustained during pre-season.

Jack Robinson is sidelined by shin splints and Jamie Mackie is recovering from ankle surgery.

New Leeds head coach Garry Monk has a full squad to choose from now that defender Liam Cooper is back training after a calf injury.

Cooper may not start at Loftus Road, though, meaning Kyle Bartley should make his debut alongside Sol Bamba.

Of Monk's other summer signings, Kemar Roofe and Rob Green look certain to start - Green against the club he left this summer.

Leeds remain hopeful of doing a deal for Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt although it remains to be seen if that will be done in time.
