Rochdale vs Peterborough United

Three players could make their Rochdale competitive debuts in Saturday's season-opening Sky Bet League One clash with Peterborough at Spotland.

Sanmi Odelusi is the most recent arrival among the trio of new signings, having joined on loan from Wigan last month.

Prior to that, midfielder Oliver Rathbone and defender Harrison McGahey were recruited after they left Manchester United and Sheffield United respectively.

Manager Keith Hill has also signed defender Niall Canavan, who was on loan with Dale last term from Scunthorpe, on a permanent deal this summer.

Peterborough summer signing Ryan Tafazolli is expected to make his debut for the club as they face Rochdale on Saturday.

The two clubs met on the opening day of last season, when Peterborough lost 2-0.

Jack Baldwin is expected to join Tafazolli in defence, with Paul Taylor and Shaquile Coulthirst set to start up front for Peterborough.

Manager Grant McCann's biggest decision comes in midfield after admitting he had not made the final decision on who would be starting between Gwion Edwards, Jermaine Anderson and Leo Da Silva Lopes, with two of the three expected to be involved.
