Alvaro Morata has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea
ANTONIO CONTE has refused to rule out making another bid for Alvaro Morata.
Reports emerged yesterday suggesting the Blues had made a club record offer of £62.6million for the Real Madrid striker.
The 23-year-old has also been linked with a move to Arsenal, although their primary transfer target appears to be Gonzalo Higuain.
Chelsea have been keeping an eye, especially when rumours surfaced about Diego Costa's future.
And though Conte remains tight-lipped over whether the Blues will launch another offer for Morata, he hasn't ruled out the prospect of the club abandoning their interest in the player.
"About this situation I always prefer to speak with the club," Conte said.
"We know our targets and the most important thing is there is a great synergy between me and the club on the transfer market.
"It's not important to speak outside, but to keep the secret is very important at this moment."
After losing their first pre-season friendly against Rapid Vienna 2-0 last weekend, Chelsea bounced back with a 3-0 victory against RZ Pellets WAC last night, and Michy Batshuayi was handed his debut by Conte.
