Barcelona ready to sell £23m star midfielder to Arsenal

Barcelona are ready to cut their losses and sell Arda Turan to Arsenal according to the Sun.

The report claims that Turan is available to Arsenal for as little as £23 million. The Sun goes onto say that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to swoop for the Turkish international midfielder this summer.

Barcelona signed Turan from Atletico Madrid for £35m last year but the 29-year-old has struggled to adapt to the Catalan giants. Despite joining last July, Turan made his debut in January due to a transfer ban imposed on the club by UEFA.

The period without first team football un undoubtedly had an effect on the flamboyant midfielder as he struggled to gain full match fitness towards the end of the season.

The Turkish international also struggled with the Turkish national team during Euro 2016 resulting in the fans jeering his name during Turkey’s 3-0 defeat to Spain.
