Lyon have confirmed the signing of highly-rated defender Emmanuel Mammana on a five-year deal from Argentine giants River Plate.

Mammana actually made his international debut before turning out for his club at senior level, coming on as a substitute for Javier Mascherano in a 2-0 win over Slovenia in June 2014, at the age of 18.
The youngster has already won all the major club competitions in South America, lifting the Copa Sudamericana in 2014 and the Copa Libertadores the following year, along with the Recopa Sudamericana.
Mammana becomes the third new recruit for Les Gones boss Bruno Genesio during the current transfer window following the recent arrivals of Nicolas Nkoulou and Maciej Rybus.
