Bastian Schweinsteiger could yet face France
Bastian Schweinsteiger could yet make a surprise appearance in Thursday's Euro 2016 semi-final, despite seemingly ruled out through injury.
After suffering a knee ligament injury during Germany's quarter-final victory over Italy last Saturday, it was reported the midfielder had little chance of facing hosts France this week.
However, Germany's skipper returned to training on Wednesday and may now be in contention to play some part in their next fixture.
Coach Joachim Low did say that the 31-year-old Manchester United player would have to be "100%" in order to play on Thursday.
Defender Benedikt Howedes is also back in full training, which gives Low an added boost ahead of their crunch tie in Marseille.
Germany will definitely be without defender Mats Hummels who is suspended while midfielder Sami Khedira is injured and attacker Mario Gomez will miss the rest of the tournament through injury.
