ON THE WAY: Real Madrid want to sell James Rodriguez
Spanish outlet Don Balon report that the new Red Devils boss is a big admirer of the midfielder and wants him in his team.
Real Madrid are thought to be willing to cash in on the Colombian this summer after he fell out of favour at the Bernabeu.
He's struggled for game time and has fallen out with Zinedine Zidane but is starring for his country in the Copa America.
Don Balon say that Jorge Mendes - Mourinho and Rodriguez's agent - will be key in a potential deal.
Paris St-Germain have been linked with the playmaker in the past but United look to be the favourites to get the deal done given the Mourinho and Mendes connection.
Madrid want to get as much money for the midfielder as possible but they will struggle to recoup the £60m they paid Monaco for him in 2014.
