TEXT MACHINE: Mourinho has been sending messages to United's players
JOSE MOURINHO has texted Manchester United's squad to reassure them they'll all have a chance to impress him.
The Portuguese was handed the top job at Old Trafford last month and is busy preparing for life at the club.
And according to the Daily Express, one of his first moves has been to send a text to each of United's stars.
It's claimed Mourinho used the messages to say 'hello' to each player, confirm he's looking forward to working with them, and to wish them luck at the European Championships if their country is in action.
Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini spilled the beans.
He said: "Mourinho contacted me by text to say welcome to United and to wish me a good Euro.
"As far as my future is concerned, I'm under contract with Manchester United. In addition, a great manager, Jose Mourinho, is arriving.
"He likes to win titles and I would be honoured and proud to work with him. Now it's up to me to show he can trust me."
Young defender Paddy McNair added: "He sent me a text message wishing me good luck for the tournament which was nice of him.
"I'm sure he'll be watching and I'll be trying my best and hopefully he likes what he sees."
Mourinho has already completed his first piece of business since being confirmed as Louis van Gaal's replacement.
Defender Eric Bailly joined from Spanish side Villarreal for £30m.
