Saturday night it was time for the third Copa America match for the USMNT, and with a win in this one, they would all but be guaranteed of a trip to the quarterfinals. Well, we found out early on that none other than Clint Dempsey was ready to will his team to the win.

Now this entire sequence here in the first half really was one thing of beauty, as Dempsey was not the only one here making some sweet things happen.

Gyasi Zardes came down the pitch with the ball and he moved towards the corner. From there, he sends a perfect pass over in the direction of Dempsey, who was absolutely not missing putting this one right in the back of the net.

That was just greatness all around on that play, and while Dempsey does deserve a lot of credit for getting the goal, you simply cannot overlook the pass from Zardes, which was just a thing of beauty.

Not a bad start to this one on Saturday for the USMNT as they look to move on.
