Barcelona have not begun negotiations over renewing Lionel Messi's contract which runs out in two years.
To date, their star striker has not received any proposal from the Catalans but the Argentinian is in no hurry to sit down with the club considering the existing agreement runs until 2018.
Some reports have been suggesting the Spanish champions are keen to offer him a five-year deal to keep him at the club until he is 35 years old, but at the moment, the forward is in the United States taking part in the Copa America with his attention very firmly focused on trying to win the title for the first time.
Argentina got off to a good start with a 2-1 win over Chile in their opening game.
